I’d like to introduce you to this lovely book.
A Cup of Culture & a Pinch of Crisis is a collection of food-based essays from expats around the globe who write about family, personal growth and cooking adventures in countries far from their native homes. They also look at food as a unifying force, something that every culture enjoys and connects with–an idea that we all too often forget. Printed and edited by the kind people at Tales from A Small Planet, a webmagazine, I’m very proud to announce that my essay, “The Greek Pumpkin” has also been included in the collection!
Reading the book, I’ve been so impressed by the other writers, their courage to live in and explore unfamiliar–often dangerous– and their talent for storytelling. It’s a great privilege to be published alongside them.
Whether you’re an avid traveler who scopes out local dishes on every trip or you prefer experiencing culture and food from your own armchair and kitchen, I highly recommend this book. The essays take you away, from Uraguay to Russia, and with their description, bring you the taste of real hummus or an asado barbecue. You can also recreate many of the dishes at home with the included recipes. I do hope you’ll get a copy! it’s available on Amazon in paperback:
and kindle format:
And stay tuned…when my shipment arrives, I’ll give away free copies to lucky readers of this blog.
Thanks so much!
